Having spent the best part of 20 years working and touring as a Concert Lighting Designer, playing with shape, colour and movement, I began developing a strong urge to capture moments of light, as well as create them.  Whilst I greatly enjoy travelling and experiencing other cities and countries, a large amount of my career has been spent in busy, crowded environments.  As a result, the need to explore the calmer,  peaceful places of nature has grown for me.

 

Relocating back to the Highlands of Scotland, where I grew up, has given me easy access to a vast playground of wilderness and scenery right on my doorstep, where I can continue to capture the compositions that catch my eye as a freelance photographer.
